What :: XHTML 1.0 Transitional Compliance Version :: 6.1.0.3 Final Info :: As promised in the recent U-zine article. These are the first editions of fully xhtml 1.0 transitional compliant public template files and cgi changes. Only distributed in a MHP format due to the sheer amount of work to be done. This affects all public template, wordlet, and cgi files. Intended to be the first modification you install on your forums, this will either not install on previously modified files, or overwrite what you have done. Demo :: http://www.ubbdev.com/test/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi - I left one forum open as a test forum to check validation, we'll have the files up here some time this weekend. Files :: http://www.ubbdev.com/db/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000021 - do NOT redistribute without my or Infopop's permission.

Hey Allen (or anyone else w/knowledge of this),
If the accelerator is working, the .php suffix shows, correct? Do all of the pages have this feature? If they are supposed to, does this mean some of my hacks that I installed are not accelerator compliant?
Right now, about 52% of my page views are from the UBB accelerator.
Final question--would have this transitional compliance hack installed make my board more compliant with the accelerator?
Thanks!

Sue... those figures sound correct for the percentage. This doesn't affect the accelerator, except where you have to add a few lines to the php script so that ";" works in the urls. Read Charles' second interview in the Interview forum of the database for more information on what the accelerator does for the UBB.</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> i knew the templates were uploaded i just dident know there was cgi involed has i havent tried to install it yet

My QUOTE function is having a problem with the XHTML coding. Specificially when I try to EDIT a post that has a quote function in it. It seems to be a problem with the reverse_ubb_code subroutine. Here is the file: www.netbattletech.com/ubb_prob.zip You can see what it does at: http://www.netbattletech.com/forum/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=000508 Last post. It is not removing the HTML coding from the page when you go to edit it. Any ideas?

Yeah, the backtrace for the quote tags isn't adapted for the XHTML update. I've also encountered this problem and am trying to fix it. I only have to get rid off the font tags, the rest has already been updated. Edit: Well with my very limited knowledge on this I'm on the end off search to solve it. I only got rid off the <hr> and <blockquote> tags. This piece of code will do that (replace the sub reverse_ubb_code block inside ubb_lib_posting.cgi): [/code]Now could someone please get rid off those last font tags?
[code] Cause they seem to spoil the party lol, beter move this to the beta forum
